We Plant a Tree for Every Tiny Yellow Bungalow Order

I’m super pleased to announce that the Tiny Yellow Bungalow eco shop is now an official partner with the nonprofit One Tree Planted. With every order placed in our shop, we plant a tree.

In this way, not only are you making a positive impact for the environment in your own personal life by purchasing sustainable products but you are also supporting environmental action on an even grander scale.

I absolutely love the simplicity of it. By planting trees, we can help restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and also protect habitat for wildlife. One Tree Planted plants trees in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific.

  1. Wow, so glad you are doing this! We have participated in a similar program thru buying the pewter Christmas ornaments from Plow and Hearth every year. They are about $10, very beautiful, and for every one purchased they plant a tree for global reforestation, wherever they are needed most. We give them as gifts to teachers, home helpers, other professionals who bless our lives (thick physical therapy and occupational therapy), friends and family members. You can keep giving them to the same people, too, because they come out with new designs every year so people can add on to their collections. We try to limit our spending by buying gifts only for our immediate family, so this is a way we can contribute to a good cause and honor people who bless us at the same time. I’ve never had a negative response from anyone. I usually order all the new designs every year and let people pick which one they want because I can’t remember what they already have.
I’m also blown away by the recent explosion in information about the carbon sequestering benefits of regenerative farming. I sort of knew about it before, but I didn’t understand that it was as simple as not weeding (or planting a cover crop) under my fruit trees! I don’t know if you do TV, but I especially enjoyed “The Biggest Little Farm” on Disney +, and “Kiss the Ground” on Netflix.

    1. I love that! A gift that gives back. I always enjoy supporting brands like that that go the extra mile for the environment. <3
